Compassionate Friends

I wake up early, always have, just an early bird. I want that WORM!!!!!
This morning around 4:30, waiting for my coffee, I was looking at Ward's ashes. They are on the fireplace mantle, in a blue pottery jar. I was asking him, if I have left anything out? I'm not sure what I meant, but I felt like I needed to say something? Then it occurred to me, I have never thanked the people at Compassionate Friends.
This organization meets monthly with parents who have lost children. We went for about one year, and try to go back occasionally now. They helped save my life, by showing me, that I was not the only one that was hurting. Many people lose children, in numerous ways, and its not normal. Pain is universal, yet we all deal with it differently.
They have a yearly meeting, where people from all over the world meet, and remember their children. You see its a group that no one wants to join, but once you are a member, you are grateful for the company. Each year we send a picture of our Ward, to be on display, and they return it to us. I wonder who all touched his photo, and thought of us. Did they wonder how this young man died? It makes me very happy to know people saw my child and know his name. Each Year on his birthday I get a handmade card from this women, who lost her child, and that is her mission to send cards to all people who have lost children. She is a compassionate friend to strangers. Her life devoted to all of our children's birthdays. Oh and I almost forgot, she sends us all cards on their Angel Date also, the day of their death.
Compassionate Friends, I thank you for loving me, and listening to me, and for remembering us.
